Do you like it soft or do you like it hard? Maybe you like both, and if you are a variety type of Esty, wanting it hard and soft is the best way to experience pleasurable effects and benefits of both worlds. I mean, let's have a little fun, shall we Wax BAE's? Do we have to choose? That's the better question. I love both equally, and at times, I will have both at the same time. What one doesn't take care of, the other will certainly get the job done. Hard and soft wax, what would we do without it.

Do you know the difference between hard and soft wax? Like, how to use it, and what type of hair and area of the body to use it on. It's so much information really. The reason why it's a lot of info to digest is because people like what they like and will use what they're comfortable with. Not to mention, professionals and experts like myself, will always have an opinion on the matter. To be frank, as long as you're following the basic body waxing protocols there really isn't much I can say about where, when and why you should use hard or soft wax. However, here are a few pointers you should keep in mind when making a decision on which formula to use.

Hard Wax

  1. Great option for waxing smaller areas.

  2. Works well with coarse hair

  3. Great option for clients with sensitive skin

  4. Not the best wax for larger areas

  5. It can be difficult to use when waxing brows

  6. Hard wax comes in a few categories. When choosing your hard wax. make sure you're selecting the type of hard wax you need for your client as well as your waxing session.

Soft Wax

  1. Generally used on larger waxing areas

  2. Works well with fine thin hairs

  3. Great option for waxing and sculpting eyebrows

  4. Not the best wax for Brazilian Waxing

  5. Soft wax comes in a honey (thin) or creamy (thicker) formula

  6. Speed waxing is highly effective with soft wax.

Thank you again for reading my opinions and allowing me to give you a little bit of direction. Next week's post will get a bit more detailed. We will dive into the different types of hard and soft wax, how they are used and what areas they work best on. As always, I will type to you later. Salutations from your friendly and truthful Esthetics Instructor.
